Owner · Color & Cutting Specialist
Heather
Heather owns Colmado and has spent sixteen years behind the chair as a color and cutting specialist. Her path into hair began in Chicago, where professional makeup artist Rachel Reiman became a mentor, inspiring her to pursue a creative career and enroll at the Aveda Institute. Her expertise runs deep in lived-in color, gray blending, color corrections, blonding, and precision bob cuts, with babylights and airtouch highlights among her favorite techniques.
Heather's signature is timeless rather than trendy: natural-looking color that grows out seamlessly and cuts tailored to keep each client's own style fresh, never overdone. Her ideal client trusts her to do what's best for them, and her goal is for everyone to leave feeling like the most confident, empowered version of themselves. She pours real energy into every conversation, and she wants her chair to be a place that inspires as much as it transforms. An artist at heart with a BFA in sculpture from SCAD, Heather brings a maker's eye to everything she does, whether she's taking a fine arts workshop or building the salon's furniture herself.
Off the ClockGardening, hosting outdoor movie nights, walking her two dogs Etta and Frank, traveling near and far, and trying to master homemade bread. She's also a passionate supporter of women's rights and education.

Star
A natural, unfiltered, honest stylist with six years behind the chair and training from Paul Mitchell The School Honolulu, Star specializes in color and natural hair care, and her happy place is a color and cut finished with a bouncy blowout, watching it all come together at the end. Right now she's especially drawn to long, layered cuts. She keeps things real from the start, with a transparent consultation built around photos and honest conversation about upkeep, what's realistic, and what will keep your hair healthy.
Her chair is a safe, warm, and genuinely fun space, and her goal is simple: for you to leave reset and renewed, with whatever weight you walked in carrying gone by the time you stand up. One of her favorite compliments came from a client who said the headache and heartache they arrived with had lifted by the end of the service.

Mo
Mo is an extensions, silk press, cut, and texture specialist trained at the Aveda Institute, and she's as confident with fine, straight hair as she is with tight coils — every texture is her texture. Her signature style is modern, timeless, and luxurious, built on clean finishes, natural movement, and hair that looks effortlessly beautiful. She loves clients who value healthy hair, and her favorite work is silk presses and sew-ins because they let her create fully customized transformations while protecting the health and integrity of your natural hair. Right now she's especially excited about dimensional blonding that's as practical for everyday life as it is beautiful.
What sets Mo apart is her background as a professional dancer: she's performed and styled hair on national tours and TV shows, an experience that taught her to work under pressure and pay close attention to every detail. Her chair is a welcoming, relaxing space where she takes time to listen, educate, and make sure you feel heard, guided by honest consultations that put your hair's health first so you leave feeling confident and like the best version of yourself. For Mo, the most rewarding part of the job is building genuine relationships and creating a space where people feel comfortable and cared for.

CJ
CJ trained at the Aveda Institute, and curly hair and vivid color are the work that excites her most. She loves working with alternative, expressive clients, from pixies to bold curly cuts to creative color designs like oil slicks, plaids, stripes, and swirls that turn hair into wearable art. A firm believer that Black women (and everyone) should wear their curls loud and proud, CJ builds every service on a thoughtful consultation, lots of visual inspiration, and open, easy conversation.
A proud supporter and ally of the queer community, she works hard to make her chair a space where everyone feels welcome exactly as they are. Whether you want to chat the whole time or just relax in comfortable quiet, CJ reads the room and follows your lead, powered by matcha, guided by good energy, and genuinely invested in you feeling seen in her chair. Abijah
Abijah trained at the Aveda Institute of Atlanta, and the services she's drawn to most are cuts, curly cuts, and single process color. Her signature is simple but a statement: clean, intentional work that lets the person wearing it stand out. Right now her favorite service is a pixie, which she loves because it can be masculine or feminine, endlessly personalized, and always timeless, and she's especially excited to go deeper into curly cutting and shaping. Her ideal client wants a look that helps them feel more like themselves.
She builds every service on a consultation where you're both fully on the same page, with no room for miscommunication, and her chair is a relaxing, easy space full of good conversation (most clients leave as buddies). Her goal is simple: for you to walk out confident. An ambivert who's been doing hair since she was a kid, on herself and her friends, Abijah fell for the creative expression of it, and the most rewarding part of the job for her is helping someone feel happy and like themselves.
Off the ClockSinging and making music (classically trained in piano and a former choir singer, despite only playing in rock bands), shooting film photography, reading, taking long walks, and drinking tea. A passionate supporter of racial justice, immigration protection, and queer spaces.
